Red Line

We booked at the last minute through The Fork, and in reality, the place was full. We were given the option to wait or to leave. The staff were nice except for the cashier, who seemed upset that we chose to wait (it was late and we weren&#39;t in the mood to look for something else). Other than that, the food was good.

A friend and I enjoyed a delightful 2 hour lunch at Osteria la solita Zuppa!   I had the Tasting Menu, which you can tailor by selecting each course. Each dish and sauce was better than the next!  My favorites were the vegetable flan appetizer, the ginger ravioli, and the osso buco. Each was cooked to perfection with beautifully seasoned sauces!  The host was so gracious and the wait staff very efficient.

Not speaking Italian, we relied on the English translation which unfortunately was incorrect so two people didn&#39;t get at all what they thought they ordered. The steak had too much tough sinew in it so big portion was not edible. Service was good.

Best restaurant experience I&rsquo;ve had in a long time, and we travel a lot.  The meal was outstanding &mdash; the seafood was fresh and exquisitely prepared:  the salmon and tuna tartare, the red fish tortelli, the stuffed squid.  And the service was fantastic, with gracious and personable staff.  Top notch hospitality and a wonderful gastronomic experience!  Would take a side trip to Chiusi just to eat here again.

We regret not going earlier to this place as it had great staff, very tasty food (the pici cacio e pepe was very good) and very fair pricing.The owner (I assume) really made our evening, with her outgoing nature. It created a great atmosphere. It&rsquo;s simple and casual but definitely a place to recommend.We will without a doubt revisit when we are in the neighbourhood again.
